Noorder Poort. At IZI's practice and retreat center in the Netherlands, in the Winter Training (Feb. 3 - March 1) Jiun Hogen, Roshi will lead a Zen week-end, Daily life retreat, Residential sesshin, and Go-sesshin. In March there will also be Zen Tai Chi with Jolinda van Hoogdalem, a Zen day, and Work practice days with Myoshin and Anneke Roozendaal.

Jiun, Roshi's March 2012 visit - cancelled. Jiun, Roshi has informed us that she will be unable to come to south Florida in March, 2012, as had been scheduled. She has been dealing with hip problems for quite some time. She had been hoping that the hip-replacement surgery could take place in January - and that she would be healed by March. But the timing is such that the surgery will probably take place in March.
Dharma House closing. The Dharma House will be closed March 15-25 for the retreat in Miami.
Introduction Classes. A series of four classes will be held on Thursday evenings, January 5, 12, 19, 26 , from 7:30 -9:30 p.m. Meditating as a group, reinforcing each other's efforts, we sit, chant, walk, drink tea together, listen to talks on the Dharma and learn how to live our human, daily life in harmony with all. If interested, please contact us.
Zazen Day. On Saturday, January 14, there will be a day of zazen at the Dharma House from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm. This is a gentle introduction for those who wish to taste Zen practice more fully. There will be zazen, walking meditation, a Dharma talk, private interviews, and a noon meal. Please contact Jigen (305) 252-3540 to reserve a cushion. There is no charge for this, but donations are gratefully accepted.
Zen Week-end Retreat. A non-residential Week-end Retreat will be held at the Dharma House February 10-12. Friday: 7:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday: 8:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m, Sunday: 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. If interested in attending, please contact Jigen at (305) 252-3540.
