International Zen Center, Noorder Poort, The Netherlands. The summer program is in full swing at IZIAE's training and retreat center. Jiun Hogen, Roshi, the spiritual director leads and co-leads the following retreats in the next three months: two Dai-Sesshin (7-day Zen intensive), two Zen week-ends, Daily Life Retreat, Attunement Through the Body (5-day - with Shingetsu, Maria Frohlich, and Modana Rouw). In addition, there will be a Work Practice Week with Modana Rouw, and a Zen Introduction Day with Anshin.

Introduction Classes. A series of four classes will be held on July 10, 17, 24, 31. Meditating as a group, reinforcing each other's efforts, we sit, chant, walk, drink tea together, listen to talks on the Dharma and learn how to live our human, daily life in harmony with all.
Zen Week-end Retreat. July 18-20. This is a non-residential retreat held at the Dharma House. Friday: 7:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday: 8:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m., Sunday: 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. If interested, please contact Jigen at (305) 252-3540.
Zazen Day. On Saturday, August 23, there will be a day of zazen at the Dharma House from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. This is a gentle introduction for those who wish to taste Zen practice more fully. There will be zazen, walking meditation, a Dharma talk, private interviews, and a noon meal. Please contact Jigen (305) 252-3540 to reserve a cushion. There is no charge for this, but donations are gratefully accepted.
Mindful Awareness Week-end Retreat. September 26-28. This is a non-residential retreat held at the Dharma House. Friday: 7:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday: 8:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m., Sunday: 8:30 a.m-4:00 p.m. If interested, please contact Jigen at (305) 252-3540.
Dharma House closings. There are week-end retreats starting on July 18 and September 26. There will be no morning zazen. The Dharma House will be open in the evening for participants only.
Family Zen. The meeting in August takes place on Key Biscayne. For families of all ages. We meet at 6:00 a.m. to watch the sun rise over the ocean, an unforgettable experience. Swimming, sand whirling and sand burying are also possible. Please contact Jigen (305) 252-3540 if interested.
Dharma House dress. Please wear socks. The shoulders and legs should be covered. No shorts.
